Sysprep get an unexpected error has occurred while changing your computer’s network identification

Some days ago i run into problems when i started a sysprep mini-setup.
After i gave the windows product license key i received an error message containing the following text:

"an unexpected error has occurred while changing your computer’s network
identification"

All my researches in the newsgroup did not bring any hint for solving
this problem. Now that i found the reason, i just want to publish this information.
Due to security reasons we disabled several windows services in our
windows base system.
Because we only need TCP/IP and neither windows file sharing nor domain
functionality we disabled the workstation service. This gave an error
when mini-setup tried to set the workgroup name.
With the workstation service enabled the problem could not be
reproduced.

I hope this helps if someone else runs into the same problem.
