I got this from a visitor blog whom were in Malaysia recently.
Check this :-
From the KL tower, which is built on a hill and is therefore the tallest building in Kuala Lumpur, we were shown the Malaysian telecommunication offices, all housed in a building that bore a startling similarity to the famous Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai.
Even a trip to the administrative capital, Putrajaya, was marked with a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, except that it was a few thousand miles away from Sydney.
I was a little stunned that a nation that could boast of an engineering marvel like the Petronas Twin Towers felt the need to rip-off entire buildings. But there you go. I was told that Malaysia was also planning an Islamic Civilisation Park, where they would build scaled-down models of the most famous examples of Islamic architecture, including the Taj Mahal.
One Malaysian explained that it was their way of paying homage. Even the Twin Towers were built in an Islamic style, which, if you’re like me, might not have been apparent at first sight. But it would be very difficult to come away from a trip to KL without learning that fact! Perhaps there is something to be said for copying designs.

Maybe people who has go places do know the similarity of designs. what you say?
